Ellen Dugan embodied what it means to be a volunteer. She had a role in organizing Bay to Sound Neighbors (B2SN) as a volunteer from the very beginning in 2017. Once B2SN was in operation, Ellen held a number of roles in helping B2SN be successful. She was elected as our first board vice president, worked on the Volunteer Committee, interviewed new members, worked as a Service Coordinator and provided services to members. Ellen had a spirit of giving, even while going through her own health battle.

Since her passing, B2SN honors Ellen for her contributions by establishing the Ellen Dugan Memorial Scholarship Fund. Donations made to this fund all go directly to help pay for Bay to Sound Neighbors memberships for seniors in Dennis and Yarmouth who qualify for a reduced income membership or are unable to afford a membership and are in need of services.
